Capital FM in breakfast show razor promotion

Capital FM breakfast show has signed a deal to promote the launch of King of Shaves' new AZOR razor.

In a seven-day promotion, Capital FM presenter Johnny Vaughan, joined by Lisa Snowdon, will encourage listeners "to baldly go..." by shaving their heads live on air during an outside broadcast from Canary Wharf on Friday, 25 July.

The deal will include live reads from DJs throughout the day, as well as pre-recorded trails and advertorial airtime starting tomorrow (17 July).

Vaughan, who will talk about the promotion throughout the four-hour outside broadcast on 25 July, will be the first volunteer and if the station can convince 50 listeners to put themselves forward, King of Shaves will donate £10,000 to Capital's charity, Help a London Child.

The company will be giving away 3,000 AZOR razors to listeners who text in or go online to www.shave.com, and one listener will also win a two-week holiday for two to Mauritius.

A branded King of Shaves bus will be at Canary Wharf all day on Friday week, offering traditional shaves to passers-by, and handing out the new razor.
