GCap unveils Gold's schedule


GCap Media's Gold, the new classic hits radio network, has released its on-air schedule and new logo, which will come into effect on Monday(Aug 6), featuring national breakfast and drivetime shows and specialist weekend music programmes.

Ex-Capital DJ David Jensen will present the breakfast show while Mike Sweeney takes on the drivetime slot from 4-8pm.
Each network area except London will broadcast its own afternoon show between 12pm and 4pm while the capital will air its afternoon slot from 1pm.

Saturday afternoons on the network will be dedicated to "anthemic classic rock music" while David Jenson will continue to present his Saturday Celebrity Show with OK! Magazine from 9am-12noon.
Sundays will offer the Classic Album Show with Nicky Horne, the Gold Rewind, featuring live sessions, and the ‘60s Classics Show with Mike Sweeney.
The network will also feature three-minute national news bulletins every hour along with local news, traffic and travel, weather and sports updates.
The Gold network logo will carry the new strapline "It's all about the music".
Gold was formed by the merger of Classic Gold and Capital Gold and is aimed at ABC1 35-54 year-old music fans.
