New look for Birmingham's Kerrang! Radio

LONDON - Big Brother winner Kate Lawler has been hired to present Emap's new look Kerrang! Radio breakfast show alongside DJ and TV presenter Tim Shaw.

The changes, which will come into effect at the Birmingham-based station on 1 October, will also see Christian Stevenson and Loz Guest team up for the 7-10pm evening slot, promising a “large shot of Anglo-American fun”.

Sunday mornings will now be run by Stuart Cable and the station’s music correspondent Caroline Beavon, who will take a look back at the week in music and ahead to the next seven days, with listener reviews, celebrity interviews and a rundown of gigs taking place the following week.

Stand-up comic Nick Margerrison will present the new Late Night show at 10pm-1am Sundays to Thursdays, while Emma Scott will move to a new daytime slot of 11am-3pm.
Rick Shaw moves to Drivetime and student radio stars Hywel and Jamie will host Saturday afternoon’s music and sport show, Off Side, as well as the Sunday evening slot.
